Algebra 1A

Algebra 1A is a fast-paced first year high school algebra course that begins with solving and graphing linear equations and inequalities. Students must already have an understanding of the language of algebra to continue their studies of polynomials and their factors, quadratic equations, rational expressions, radicals, and rational functions. Students utilize technology for linear and quadratic modeling and receive an introduction to probability, data analysis and statistics.

Geometry

Designed for studentsin grades 10-11 with a solid foundation in Algebra 1, students learn deductive proof writing, properties of angles, perpendicular and parallel lines, congruent triangles, similar polygons, circles, right triangles, areas and volumes of solids, coordinate geometry and constructions.

Geometry B

This slower paced course is for students in grades 10-11 and fulfills the graduation requirement, students learn properties of angles, perpendicular and parallel lines, congruent triangles, similar polygons, circles, right triangles, areas and volumes of solids.  There is a basic emphasis on proofs, which does not prepare the stutents fully for entry into most higher level mathematics courses in college.
